Penta Clear Varnish offers a durable, high-gloss finish for wood surfaces. Matte and satin finishes are not recommended for exterior surfaces exposed to direct sunlight, as the gloss finish provides better durability, though still limited, under such conditions.

Important Notes:

Stir well before use.
Not suitable for flooring.

Surface Preparation:

For New Surfaces: Ensure the wood is dry and free from dirt, dust, grease, oil, and other contaminants. Fill any cracks, holes, or crevices with an appropriate wood filler, then sand the filler smooth to achieve a firm, even surface.
For Previously Varnished Surfaces: Remove any loose, semi-adherent, peeling, or cracking varnish, along with dirt, dust, grease, wax, oil, and other debris. Fill cracks and holes with wood filler, then sand the surface smooth.
For Fungus Infected Areas: Treat affected areas with diluted household bleach. Rinse thoroughly and allow to dry.

Application Instructions:

For New Surfaces: Apply a sealing coat of Penta Clear Varnish thinned up to 10% with Thinner 41.
Gloss Finish: Apply 2-3 coats of Penta Gloss Varnish.
Satin & Matte Finishes: Apply 1-2 coats of Clear Gloss Varnish, followed by a top coat of Satin or Matte Varnish.

Additional Notes:

Allow varnish to dry overnight between coats and sand lightly with fine abrasive paper.
Not sealing with Clear Gloss Varnish may cause white discoloration in Satin or Matte finishes.
